A 5¼″ aluminum frame with a 32 mm thermal break, accepts 25.4 mm (1″) and 41.3 mm (1⅝″) overall glazing.

INSIDE THE FRAME
Built to insulate.
A 32 mm thermal break separates the inside and outside of the frame, cutting the path heat takes through the aluminum and letting each side carry its own colour.
Replaceable compression seals and interior glazing keep the window serviceable for the long run.

Depth through the wall.
Frame depth is measured from the inside face to the outside face. It affects how the window meets your wall, and how thick a glass unit it can hold.
Accepts 25.4 mm (1″) and 41.3 mm (1⅝″) overall glazing. Double (1″) or triple (1⅝″) glazing.

What is a horizontal sliding window?
A window with one or two sashes that slide sideways along a track to open.
Single or double slider?
In a single slider one sash moves; in a double slider both do. Both are available in our vinyl series.
Are sliding windows good for basements?
Yes. Their wide, short proportions suit many basement openings. Egress size is confirmed against the building code when we measure.
How do I keep sliding windows working smoothly?
Keep the track and drainage holes clear of dirt and debris, and check the weatherstripping each fall.
